During a conversation with a client, she told me she felt empty. A successful person who already has a lot of notes on her vocals, but actually keeps going after each success.
Going on and on and on, but when there is nothing to do for a while, or when there is too much on her plate, she feels empty.
Her feelings are dulled and the mood doesn’t really improve. At such times, she doesn’t feel like anything and she feels separated from everything and everyone.
It’s not really clear why she feels this way, but it feels awful. It feels nasty and she just wants to feel happy again. But it doesn’t work and she has no idea what it takes.
Do you recognize this feeling? You then don’t feel like doing anything and are sulking. At worst, you are not so nice to those around you. You are in your own way.
What will it take to get rid of that feeling?
I’ll show you that in these 5 steps:
1. Connect with your body
Sit down and connect with your body. Feel what you feel, without judgment. Take a few deep breaths. That’s all you have to do. You accept whatever comes. It may be there.
2. You are in control
Find out if you can detect certain personalities that are talking in your head. And invite them to speak. Listen to them. They can say anything, no matter how annoying or nasty it is. Let them speak one at a time.
Stay aware that this is only part of you and that you are in control, you are much bigger than this part alone. If necessary, write down what they say (like the morning pages of the artist way).
3. Create a SoulCollage® card.
Then make SoulCollage® cards about these personalities, or if you already have them, get the cards out and read them again.
4. Create a helper card
When the process is intense for you, create a helper card. A card you feel carried and protected by. Read this map.
Sometimes a personality can take up so much space that it seems like there are no other personalities left. Stepping into a helper card can then help you.
5. Share your experience in the community
Find like-minded people and share your experiences, your maps and ask questions in the Inner Leadership Community. Receive support when you don’t feel well. Community is so important!
The Inner Leadership community is a safe, free and filter-free platform where we work with a theme each month.
You can also participate in a free monthly online meeting where you can share cards regarding the theme and read cards in groups with each other. Be welcome!
